Cervical pain, neck pain

  • Acute neck pain, pain in the neck caused by poor posture or a false movement, hinders head movements and radiates to the shoulders (4).
  • They can be due to different factors: anxiety, professional or sporting activities, bad positions, arthrosis (4).
  • The frequency of non-specific neck pain is estimated at 12 cases per 1,000 inhabitants per year. About two thirds of the French population are affected in their lives by a painful episode of the neck causing local stiffness.
  • It can easily be relieved but sometimes requires the prescription of an appropriate treatment.
